Bare Necessities is a Luxury
Yacht that is available for both Private and Corporate Charter in the Solent and
UK Waters. Sailing from Southampton, Lymington, Portsmouth, Hamble and Cowes and
Cruising in the Solent Area. Or alternatively, Poole, Brighton or further
afield to the West Country and Scotland. The boat can also be hired for
events or holidays in Northern Europe and the Mediterranean and Canary Islands.
Our highly experienced team
are here to ensure you have an enjoyable time aboard this magnificent yacht. She
is fully crewed and equipped for high spec, high tech, luxury cruising.
For Corporate Hire we offer
both Day or Evening sailing for up to 18 guests, possibly the only yacht on the
South Coast with this certification. With high quality catering for VIP
Entertainment and plenty of hands on experience for team building programmes,
your every need is accommodated.
The day can be tailored to
your exact requirements and could include, for example, a “blast” in a rib
and/or a visit to one of the many delightful ports around the Solent such as
Beaulieu, Hamble, Cowes or Portsmouth Harbour. Some clients have commenced the
day with drinks at the new Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth giving guests a bird’s
eye view of the area before setting off on the yacht.
For Private Hire we can
sleep 8 comfortably in four cabins - 2 x twin, 1 x master, 1 x double - all with
en-suite facilities and their own personal computer system for audio and visual
entertainment. |

Skippered Ribs for
Hire & Cobra Rib Racing!
Cobra Rib Charters offer professional skippered
ribs powered by the latest fuel injection.
Our hire fleet is based in The Hamble - however
we will happily deliver our Cobra ribs to you for charter along the -
Southampton, Cowes - Isle of Wight & Portsmouth.
8.5m length boats are
available for charter all year around, covering all Solent Events - but you
don't need to wait for a special event! Our Cobra ribs can be hired for a lunch
trip to Cowes, a voyage around The Needles, or a party with a difference - water
toys not supplied.
VIP Rib Day
Make this day your own, and
enjoy the freedom of the sea! Our Cobra ribs will propel you through the waves
for high speed racing or take you at a leisurely pace to enjoy many of the
creeks and waterways.
On deck the Beneteau First 50
has a spacious aft cockpit, with twin steering wheels, clear access to the stern
bathing platform and all sail controls easily to hand. Wide, uncluttered teak
laid side decks allow safe movement around the yacht.
Below decks, the ultra modern
theme continues with minimalist styling and extensive use of lacquered wood and
leather. There are three double cabins, two heads & showers and superbly
appointed galley.

Event Management
Our Corporate
Charter and Sailing Event Management team have been working in the marine
industry for many years, gaining the contacts and knowledge to make any
corporate sailing event a success. You can rest assured that whatever type of
event you book, each and every detail will be checked and attended to, as we
understand the importance of everything running like clockwork.
Duck-2-Water arranges and manages corporate sailing events of
any type and size, whether it is a private charter for a special occasion, or a
corporate charter for valued clients and colleagues. Days on the water for 2
people or 200 - whatever you have in mind, we are here to help.
Our
Event Management service also includes hotel reservations, catering and
refreshments on board, booking meals ashore at recommended venues, limousines,
themed events such as treasure hunts, flowers for special occasions.
Our speciality is our flexible approach to event management. It is a 'bespoke'
service to ensure that your event is tailored to your specific requirements so
if there is something that you wish to be included in your day, just let us
know.

Builing Yachting Events
Yachting is all about
teamwork, and anyone willing and able to apply themselves to the job of sailing
a yacht can make a contribution – so it makes a great basis for team-building.
Even if your group isn't large enough to justify taking two or more yachts, we
can construct a challenge that will get your whole team working towards a common
goal – hopefully in harmony!
For a larger group, yacht racing really brings out the best in anyone with the
slightest competitive instinct. You can introduce the challenge of racing by
entering an established regatta, or by asking us to organize your own
mini-regatta, with two, three or more matched racing yachts.
If you have the time and budget, extending your team-building event over two
days is well worthwhile, with nights as well as days spend on-board. (Ask for
our special notes on two-day team-builds.)
For clients who want to make serious use of sailing as a team development tool,
we work with specialist consultants to construct team-building challenges that
do just the right job.
