The Millennium Stadium, which
hosted the Rugby World Cup in 1999, runs regular tours. The site of several FA
Cup Finals (the final has now returned to Wembley) as well as many other
significant sporting events; you can walk down the players’ tunnel, have a nose
around the changing rooms, recline in the Royal Box or sit in the highest seats
for a spectacular view.
The Millenium Stadium is the first in the UK - and the
biggest in the world - to have a retractable roof, which takes 20 minutes to
open or close, making it an all-weather stadium.
The roof is supported by four corner masts which reach 93
metres into the sky, making it the tallest building in Wales. The world famous
Millenium Stadium has 72,500 seats and provides a wealth of sports and
entertainment such as football and rugby matches and concerts.
The Millenium Stadium Cardiff is also home of the Wales
